2. Transport in Cells:
- Review Diffusion and Facilitated Diffusion
- Finish Osmosis
- Complete - Active transport with Protein Carrier, Endocytosis and Exocytosis


GRADE 5 Discussion:
- Confirm that all pages are done.
-  Any last questions for us?
- Take 10 minutes to chat back and forth about what experiment/activity you are going to try this Friday.


GRADE 5 Discussion:
- Take 10 minutes to confirm what experiment/activity you are going to try this Friday.
- Make a list of materials that you need to bring and what you need to use at school.
- SEND a WikiMail message to your teachers and your group to confirm the following:
1)  What your experiment/activity is
2) What supplies you need.

TODAY - We Skyped with our Grade 5 group and confirmed experiments.  Emailed info to Mrs. Kezema and Mrs. Painchaud

Worked through transport in cells - Exocytosis and reviewed Diffusion, Faciliated Diffusion and Osmosis.

Welcome Back!! Experiment Day

1) General Reminders
2) Opening Skype call with all of the Grade 5s.

In your body system partners,
3) open up Voicethread on 1 computer and have it ready to capture parts of your experiment.

4) On the other partner's computer, have wikispaces and Skype open.

5) Decide if you need to clarify any details with your Grade 5s.
- Skype text chat or call if needed
- Make sure that you are clear on how you are collecting your data and observations.

6) Conduct Experiment/Activity and record your slides into voicethread.

7) Share voicethread with your team and Mrs. Painchaud and Mrs. Kezema.

8) Leave comments on YOUR Voicethread.

9) If time leave comments and or questions on your grade 5's voicethread.

Week of April 18 - 21 - Before Easter Holidays

SUB - DI Meeting

1) Be sure that your protein synthesis assignments are well on their way to being finished.  I'll check in tomorrow morning.
- If you name is on the board for checking a rough copy this will happen tomorrow.

2) Grade 5 Project time: 8:55 - 9:25
a) Skype with Mrs. Kezema (We will need a volunteer to do this her address is on the board.)
b) Check functions page and add info as needed.  Leave your grade 5s a note about what else needs to be added or if you are good to continue.
c) Research your organ (create a new page and then link to the general organ system page)
d) Search for an experiment.


3) Finish up your Transport in Cells topics -  9:25 - 9:50
- Your group should be ready to present on Tuesday.
** Have the digital form that you choose ready to go for Tuesday morning and we can quickly link up the pages.

4) 9:50 - Research the terms Hypotonic, Hypertonic and Isotonic solutions and try the 3 question worksheet.
April 18

Tuesday
I will start class and then I have a Digital Learning PLC, so here is the plan.

20 minutes - Grade 5 project (until 9:20) - Check Function info and leave comments or suggestions for the grade 5s.  Finish research on your assigned organ.  If you have time check for an experiment.

15 minutes - work on Transport in Cells digital product.  Try to finish - I would like to work through them in class on Wed.

If done try the types of solutions worksheet.

If you are done with that you can work on the Evolution worksheet package.


April 19

Wednesday
1) Protein Synthesis Assignment due
- Use the rubric and checklist provided to self assess your project.  Answer the journal questions on the rubric. 
- Listen carefully about the instructions on how to proceed with your assignment.
** You must submit a copy of your assignment today.

2) Grade 5 Project - I have had a few group updates from you yesterday.  Where are we at?  Are the functions pages done?  Are you done your organ research?

5) Correct the worksheet on types of solutions.
