Monday, January 24 - Last Day of Classes


Good Morning :)
    Welcome to your last day of Bio 30 class.

The following information is available as a handout:


Here is the plan for today:

     1)   The Grade 5s will be ready to chat for about 10-15 minutes starting at 10:10.
      So get logged in to Wikispaces and find your discussion thread.
-          This will be your last discussion with the Grade 5s so there will be time for a few more question/answers and then you’ll need to wrap it up and say good bye (by 10:25 you need to move on to the other activities)

2)      Next, please complete Mr. Kezema’s survey about 1-1 computing.
-          Complete it considering the 1-1 computing experience that you have gained this semester.


     3)   Please complete Mrs. Painchaud’s follow up survey about technology in the classroom.


Thank-you for completing the surveys.

4)      You may use the remaining time to study for your final.

i)                    You may review your evolution notes.
ii)                   You may work on your Genetics practice questions.  (Answer key for the Practice Questions – Incomplete, Co-dominance, Multiple Allele and X-Linked trait questions are available online at:

Final Exam Format:
1) Evolution - 20-25 multiple choice and 2-3 short answer questions.
2) Genetics
- Matching Mitosis/Meiosis
- Genetics problems to solve (including 1 H-W; 1 Linkage and the rest are punnett square questions).
3) Reproduction - One question from Thursday's discussion.  i.e. What are two things that you learned about or surprized you about labour and delivery?  or Is it important for teenagers to learn about this topic? or What advice would you leave for yourself as a future parent?
