What could I work on over the break if I wanted to :)
- Make Sure that the evolution package is complete. (you worked on this during the first semester)
- CELL IS LIKE:
a) You have selected your topic and shared it in a google doc or through an email if you are using another method.
b) You have shared one example of a comparison to part of a cell.
c) SAMPLE FORMAT:
Example: Cholorplast:
- Science: This organelle is where photosynthesis takes place, it is only found in plant cells, etc.
- Your Connection: In my example, I have compared the cholorplast to the ______________ because __________________________________. (Reasons include connections to water, carbon dioxide, light energy, sugar and oxygen, etc - for a level 4 - you would be delving into the details of the photosystems, light and dark reactions, how water breaks down, etc.
d) REMEMBER:
- If you would like to improve your unit 1 mark on RNA Transcription or Protein Synthesis - you may complete the basic version required by this assignment which gets entered as another unit 1 mark.
--> You also have the option of creating a more detailed explanation/comparison as it fits with your part of the organelle.
What to expect in 2011....
-Wed/Thurs/Friday (first week back) - wrap up evolution discussions and start into genetics - practice lecture and note-taking with netbooks.
